Cops is a classic comedy-chase silent film, co-directed by Buster Keaton and Eddie Kline. Buster Keaton stars as a young man pursuing the mayor's daughter (Virginia Fox), who will not have him because he is not rich. When he notices a very full wallet that a large man has dropped, he takes the money out of it before returning it to its owner. When the man notices that Buster has taken the money, he climbs out of his car to confront Buster. So Buster drives off with the car. Buster's day continues in a similar fashion, full of strange mishaps and misunderstandings, until the chaos culminates when he is mistaken for a bomb-wielding anarchist. After that, the film turns into an extended chase, with lots of crazy stunts and witty escapes, on Buster's part. Will his efforts, all to win the favors of the mayor's shallow daughter, pay off? Or will the police catch him first? With Cops, viewers will laugh their way through from the beginning to the end.moreless
