Corn is a 2004 thriller written and directed by David Silver. When college student Emily Rasmussen (Jena Malone) learns that she is pregnant with the illegitimate baby of a politician, she returns to her stepfather's (Don Harvey) farm in Pennsylvania. Once she arrives, she notices that her father's sheep are acting very strangely. They keep violently attacking each other and even harming themselves in order to eat a certain weed. Emily soon learns that her neighbor's corn has been genetically altered, and the weed is a byproduct of that crop. When one of the sheep has a deformed baby after eating the weed and a friend's baby dies from eating lamb, Emily realizes that the weeds are causing the problems. She goes on a crusade to stop the genetically altered corn from being produced and tries to prevent any other innocent people from eating the contaminated lamb meat. Along the way, she must struggle against both big corporations and her own stepfather, who is selling the meat.
