Corrupt is a 1999 American drama directed by Albert Pyun and starring Silkk Tha Shocker, Tarsha Nichole Jones, and Ice-T. Years have gone by with danger on the streets being ever-present because of the forces of two dangerous street gangs. When MJ (Silkk tha Shocker) finds a way out of the hood and into a better life, it comes when the two gangs have finally reached a peace agreement. Corrupt (Ice-T) doesn't feel as though MJ should get out of the hood, and if he has his way, MJ will only be leaving the hood if it's in a coffin. This high-stakes action thriller epically documents the brutality and viciousness that exists between rival gangs. Violence and mayhem disrupt the order that is finally achieved, and MJ works to return the gangs to their momentary peace. Corrupt received poor reviews from critics and did not perform well at the box office.moreless
