His prying and prodding leads him to an underground society of occult vampirism running rampant through the city, led by a reserved businessman named D.D. Denham (Christopher Lee). But upon an extended meeting with this enigmatic figure, Van Helsing concludes that he is in fact Count Dracula himself; the plot thickens when the notorious vampire hunter learns that the blood sucker in fact has a plan to release a newly updated strain of the bubonic plague on the world.
