Counter Punch (Fish Out of Water) is a 1999 crime action thriller directed by Geoffrey Edwards. Protagonist Chris (Patrick Thomas) is part of a family that has owned a large wax museum for almost a hundred years. The family refuses to sell their land to ambitious property developer Gregor (John Heard), who decides to destroy the museum in retaliation. Now Chris must find a way to thwart Gregor's plans and gather sufficient evidence to build a court case against him. Aided by his best friend Bobby (Christopher Heyerdahl), Chris will stop at nothing to save his family's prized museum from disaster. However, it soon becomes clear that Chris and Bobby have angered the malevolent Gregor with their plans, and must now fight to escape with their lives. Counter Punch is a taut, tense film with a positive message about the value of family and friends, and will appeal to adults, teens, and older children.
