Countess Dracula is a 1971 English Hammer horror film directed by Peter Sasdy that takes place in medieval Europe. The film stars Ingrid Pitt as the Countess Elisabeth Nodosheen. She is not actually a vampire, but rather just a vicious female human. The countess has discovered that bathing in the blood of young virgins can restore her fading beauty and make her young again. Her twisted lover, Captain Dobi (played by Nigel Green) keeps the young virgins in fresh supply for her to kill. However when the Countess starts pretending to be her own daughter so as to seduce a younger man Dobi gets extremely upset. All the disappearances make panic grow in the nearby town...How long can the Countess keep this up? This film was based on the actual real life story of the Countess Elizabeth Bathory. Bathory lived from 1560 to 1614 and was allegedly responsible for the deaths of around six hundred virgin girls.
