Movie Summary

Shinichiro Watanabe
Cowboy Bebop: The Movie is an animated science fiction mystery film directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, based on the Cowboy Bebop TV series developed by Sunrise, that centers on a the crew of the spaceship Bebop as their most recent bounty pulls them into a plot of a bioterrorist to release a virus onto the masses of Mars. When the government issued a three million-woolong reward for the capture of a mysterious and troubled Vincent Volaju, the sarcastic sharp shooting Spike Spiegel, the voluptuous Faye Valentine, a disgruntled Jet Black, and the young tech savant Ed think it is the answer to all their money woes. However, when they discover that the mystery is far darker and far more dangerous than they originally thought, the crew takes on a partnership with Electra, a tough enforcer working for the creators of the virus Vincent had stolen. It seems the crazed Vincent is out to set off a bomb with a much larger dose than what had killed over a hundred people but can they capture him in time?moreless

Notable chiefly for its eye-catching urban backgrounds and an eclectic score that ranges from jazz and country to classical and choral.

Though it isn't the entirely original creation "Metropolis" was, Bebop is more satisfying.
