Craig Ferguson: A Wee Bit O' Revolution gives the host of TV's "The Late, Late Host" a chance to get personal and patriotic in this full-length stand-up routine. This 2009 concert film was recorded soon after the Scottish comedian had received his American citizenship. His longtime love of his adopted country becomes the jumping off point for Ferguson to take the audience on a comic journey through his life. Ferguson recounts how he first dreamed of becoming an American at 13 years old. After achieving early success as a stand-up in Scotland, he decided he was ready for the big time, and moved to Los Angeles, the entertainment capitol of the world. He describes his audition for "The Drew Carey Show," which became his entry into Hollywood. But, his life has not been a stroll along easy street. His long and dark journey into drugs and alcohol is a central topic for the sober Ferguson. His irreverent perspective and trademark wit bring a laugh out of even the bleakest topics. This fast and loose routine contains plenty of profanity and adult topics best suited to mature audiences.moreless
