Crank 2: High Voltage, the sequel of Crank, is an action film from 2009 starring Jason Statham. The plot picks up where the first film left off and features the same writing/directing team of Brian Taylor and Mark Neveldine. Chev Chelios (Statham), having just fallen out of a helicopter, is scooped up by a few snow shovel-wielding medics and carried away to a mysterious clinic. He wakes up just in time to see his heart being removed and replaced with an artificial one. Chev passes out and wakes up three months later in the same clinic, a battery pack attached to his body. He sees an opportunity, and escapes. Now, he has to find his heart, and keep that battery charged any way he can, electrocuting himself in every way imaginable. Upon its release, Crank 2 received mixed reviews and less than stellar box office receipts. It did, however, receive an IMP award for funniest tagline: He was deadbut he got better.moreless
