Crawlspace is a 1986 horror film directed by David Schmoeller. The film follows a group of aspiring actresses who live a seemingly comfortable life in a boardinghouse. They do not realize that the owner of the house is a homicidal doctor named Karl Gunther (played by the legendary Klaus Kinski) who creeps through the house's walls and watches the girls through the building's heating ducts. Gunther, it turns out, is the son of a Nazi surgeon war criminal, and is rather demented himself as he is about to start on a new killing spree of his own. He has equipped the building with hidden rooms as well as torture and murder devices! Will he be successful in murdering all his tenants or will a Nazi hunter looking for him find him first, and save the day? Coincidentally this film was shot in the same apartment building as the other low budget horror film, Troll.
