Crippled Creek, a 2005 horror film, tells the story of three young women who go on a camping trip and soon realize they may never return. Mady Hooper (Ashley Totin) decides she needs a vacation and convinces her cousin, Bambi (Evy Lutzky), and their friend, Aubry Laput (Jennifer Jules Hart), to spend a weekend deep in the woods at her family's cabin. On their way, the friends stop to spend the night with Mady's grandparents, who warn them about mysterious events in the forest and tell the girls to turn back. Determined to enjoy their weekend, the three continue to the cabin, even when a forest ranger mentions a strange hermit who lives in the area. The girls meet some cute boys camping nearby and forget their worries, until the hermit appears and tells them that if they do not leave, they will die. When their friends begin to disappear, the young women learn a shocking secret about the woods.
