Crisis is a suspense film from director Richard Brooks based on a story by George Tabori. Dr. Ferguson (Cary Grant), an eminent brain surgeon, and his wife Helen (Paula Raymond) set off for a honeymoon in beautiful Latin America. ''' Their vacation is short-lived when, soon after arriving, a group of soldiers abducts the couple and take them to the capital city. The newlyweds arrive at a large mansion where they meet ''''''Raoul Farrago (Jose Ferrer), a ruthless dictator. Farrago is suffering from a brain tumor and wants Dr. Ferguson to remove it. The operation is risky, but seeing himself as the man's best hope, Ferguson agrees to the procedure. Things become complicated for the good doctor when rebel forces opposing the dictator kidnap Dr. Ferguson's wife. The rebels demand that Farrago must die on the operating table or Ferguson's wife will be killed. Two lives are in the balance, and only Dr. Ferguson has the power to tip the scales.moreless
