Crossing Over is a 2009 independent drama film directed by Wayne Kramer and is told in different stories that interweave with one another. Max Brogan (Harrison Ford) is an immigration officer who must take care of the son of a woman he has recently deported. Taslima Jahangir (Summer Bishil) comes under fire for presenting a report to school regarding sympathizing with the 9/11 hijackers. This leads her principal to call the authorities and the FBI raids her house. They find what they consider to be incriminating evidence and put her family's tenuous citizenship status in danger. After a car accident between immigration officer Cole Frankel (Ray Liotta) and Australian actress Claire Shepard (Alice Eve), Frankel gets her to agree to sexual favors in exchange for citizenship. Yong Kim (Justin Chon) is a teenager about to become a citizen with the rest of his family, when he robs a convenience store in order to join a gang. Hamid Baraheri (Cliff Curtis), Max Brogan's partner, is in the convenience store and ends up stopping the robbery through force.moreless
