Cry Danger is a 1951 film-noire drama directed by Robert Parrish. Filmed in just 21 days, the story follows Rocky Mulloy (Dick Powell), an ex-Marine sentenced to life in prison for a murder and robbery he didn't commit. Five years later, a man named Delong (Richard Erdman) comes forward with an alibi. Rocky is released from prison. Now, Rocky is bound and determined to find the killers and clear his friend, Danny Morgan, who was also convicted of the crime. Delong, however, has other plans. When they visit Danny's wife, Nancy (Rhonda Fleming), Rocky finds out Delong is more interested in finding the missing money than clearing Danny. Together, the trio tracks down bookie, Louis Castro (William Conrad), who they believe may be connected to the robbery. When shots are fired and the truth finally comes out, Rocky must decide who to trust and how to make things right again. Fans of 1950s film-noire will be captivated by this character driven drama.moreless
