Curse of the Zodiac is a direct to video crime-horror film written and directed by award-winning filmmaker, Ulli Lommel. The film takes place in the San Francisco Bay Area, 1978, where the Zodiac killer (Jack Quinn) is still on the loose. The Zodiac antagonizes John (Jon E. Nimetz), an Oakland Tribune reporter, through a number of harassing phone calls and letters. John gets fed up with the cat-and-mouse game and takes it upon himself to catch the killer, regardless of the consequences. He meets the psychic Natasha (Cassandra Church) who joins his investigation. Natasha's jealous boyfriend (Lee Mercer) also joins the entourage to make sure his girlfriend is safe from John's advances. They meet the Zodiac killer's next victim (Pia Pownall) just before the murder takes place. John and his friends chase the Zodiac but lose him in the city's Castro district. After Natasha's boyfriend comes up missing, the duo finds themselves alone in their quest. John receives another Zodiac letter and finds out where it came from, through the help of an intelligent postal worker (Daniel von Wetter). John and Natasha head out to where they think the killer is staying, but soon find out that the whole thing may just be a trap.moreless
