Daddy's Dyin'... Who's Got the Will? is a 1990 comedy written by Dell Shores and directed by Jack Fisk. The film follows a dysfunctional family as they return home after they learn of their father's serious illness and impending death. Grown children Sara Lee (Tess Harper), Evalita (Beverly D'Angelo), Orville (Beau Bridges) and Lurlene (Amy Wright), all want to see their father Buford (Bert Ramsen) before he passes. But they also want to get their hands on his will. Personalities clash as the children bicker and argue over who will be favored in the will before their father tells them he has misplaced it. Evalita's boyfriend Harmony (Judge Reinhold) manages to unite the family by playing "I'll Fly Away" on the family piano. Buford watches them sing, seeing them as young children. The will is eventually found and the family learns that despite their differences, the most important thing is that they are together.
