Dance Flick is a 2009 action comedy starring Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Damon Wayans, Jr., Shoshana Bush and Essence Atkins. The film is directed by Damien Dante Wayans and written by the Wayans Brothers. The movie is a parody of popular dance flicks. Megan (Shoshana Bush), a suburban girl, has dreams of ballet stardom until she moves to the inner city. Because of moving, Megan is forced to attend an inner city high school, and she feels that her chance for fame have been ruined. Megan meets Thomas (Damon Wayans, Jr.) who is a passionate street dancer, and he renews an enthusiasm for dance in her. Thomas also has a job that he hates working for Sugar Bear (David Alan Grier) who is an obese gang lord whose only love is food. Thomas' ghetto sister Charity (Essence Atkins) excels at being a bad parent along with her "baby daddy", but Charity has some good qualities and befriends and helps Megan fit in. Megan and Thomas spend more time together and become dance partners. With the help of Thomas, Megan must try to show her street credibility in a dance off so that she can achieve her dream.moreless
