Danger Street is a 1947 mystery directed by Lew Landers. Pat Marvin (Jane Withers) is a daring young photojournalist who will stop at nothing to get her story. When she learns that the newspaper publisher is selling the paper, Marvin and her fellow employees, including the editor (Robert Lowery), decide to take a gamble and buy the newspaper themselves. Faced with the daunting task of turning the paper into a success, Marvin goes out searching for the juiciest headlines. She sets her eye on Cynthia Van Loan (Elaine Riley), a beautiful society girl. Van Loan guards her private life just as fiercely as Marvin seeks to expose a scandalous story. When Marvin manages to take photos of Van Loan, she thinks she has uncovered the scoop of the century. However, Marvin and her coworkers are in for more than they expected when it becomes clear that the compromising photos have led to a murder. In addition to worrying about the fate of the newspaper, Marvin now has to worry about her own survival.moreless
