Daniel Boone, Trail Blazer is a movie directed by Albert C. Gannaway and Ismael Rodriguez. The movie is entirely in Mexico on a low-budget in 1956. It follows Daniel Boone (Bennett) through the year of 1775 as he goes on a journey to lead his family and some settlers from North Carolina to Kentucky. Though it is an innocent task, the journey causes him to be faced with many hardships. He finds himself defending his town, Fort Boonesborough, from an attack of the Shawnee Indians and their leader, Chief Blackfish (Lon Chaney Jr.). Frenchman Simon Girty (Kem Dibbs) has wrongly convinced the Indians that the settlers wish to go to war with them and take their land resulting in Boone being kidnapped. With his family and friends being threatened, Boone must escape and convince the Shawnee that he and the pioneers do not want to steal their land but to live with them in peace.
