Daniella by Night is a suspenseful dramatic film about a fashion model that moves to Paris for work, but finds herself in the midst of a dangerous environment. After a model is murdered, the lovely Daniella (Elke Sommer) receives an offer to be her replacement, and moves to Paris to saunter the catwalk. World famous designer Count Castellani (Ivan Desny) showers her with clothes and other gifts, much to the chagrin of other models, but Daniella soon begins to suspect that he has questionable intentions, and that she is unknowingly working as a smuggler. When the lovely girl finds herself caught up in a world of espionage, she enlists the help of reporter Karl Bauer (Helmut Schmid), but finds he may also not be who he seems. As Daniella becomes more and more embroiled in the sinister and shady affair, she fears for her life, and only time will tell if she'll make it out alive. Max P'cas directs this controversial 1961 drama, complete with a full frontal nudity scene that was very shocking for the time.moreless
