Movie Summary

Director:
Mark Steven Johnson
Released:
2004
Rating:
R

Daredevil (Director's Cut) has more action, sub-plots and character interaction added into the film adaptation of the Marvel Comics superhero with the same name. Matt Murdok (Ben Affleck) is a New Yorker living in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood who lost his vision due to a childhood accident with toxic waste. After being blinded, Murdok gains super sensory abilities which he eventually uses along with various crime fighting skills as the superhero Daredevil. Director Matt Steven Johnson offers 30 minutes of action not seen in the original big screen version of Daredevil into his cut of the film. More character developing interactions between Matt Murdock and his father, Jack Murdok (David Keith) give a bit more history to Daredevil's personal story. Murder, manipulation and an underground crime plot surrounding the trial of Dante Jackson (Coolio) included in the director's cut make for even more content. All the original superhero action is still included along with extended appearances by Elektra (Jennifer Garner) and sure shot villain, Bullseye (Colin Farrell).
