Dark Harbor is a 1998 American film written and directed by Adam Coleman Howard and starring Alan Rickman, Polly Walker, and Norman Reedus. This intense thriller tells the story of David Weinberg (Rickman) and his wife (Walker). As the couple drives to the ferry terminal to catch the boat to their private island, they encounter an injured man (Reedus) on the side of the road. They reluctantly give him a ride to the hospital and are forced to stay in a motel for the night after missing the ferry. The next day when they arrive on the island they decide to go sailing. When their boat runs aground they run into the young man camping on the beach. After the man aids them in returning their boat to sea, they invite him into the house. The three become friends and an attraction between Alexis and the man appears to be growing. Ulterior motives are at work here, for there is a possibility that young man and David are better acquainted than we are led to believe.moreless
