The nephew of the original Davy Crockett (George Montgomery) is a military scout who is responsible for the safe passage of wagon trains. However, despite his best efforts, the Indians have been successfully attacking the settlers and Crockett suspects that someone has been tipping them off. Crockett is determined to put a stop to the attacks before more lives are lost on his watch. The others instantly point the finger at Crockett's Indian companion, Red Hawk, but they will soon find that the problem comes from somewhere they didn't expect.
