Day Watch (English Dubbed Version) is a 2006 horror fantasy film directed by Timur Bekmambetov. This version features dubbed voices in English, rather than the original Russian language. The film is a sequel to Night Watch (2004). On New Year's Day, Anton Gorodetsky (Konstantin Khabensky) is still trying to control the battles between the Light Others and the Dark Others. Others are people who were born with magical properties and gain their strength from the magic unknowingly generated by average people. Some Others are peaceful, while some only want bloodshed. Gorodetsky is a Night Watch operative, attempting to keep any threats under control. He has a secret of his own: his son, Yegor (Dmitriy Martynov), is an Other who let himself become Dark. As a result, Gorodetsky tries to cover the evidence of his son's wrongdoings without putting his city in too much danger. His romance with a coworker, Svetlana (Mariya Poroshina), only makes things more complicated. As Gorodetsky struggles with his love for his son and his knowledge that Yegor is becoming more powerful, the fate of the world hangs in the balance.moreless

Unfolding in a decrepit, present-day Moscow, Day Watch dazzles and confuses with equal determination.

Bursting with incident and FX, Day Watch will delight fans of its predecessor, "Night Watch," but further annoy those antipathetic to the Russkie-made supernatural franchise.
