Seventeen-year-old Caroline (Kat Dennings of THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN, NICK AND NORAH'S INFINITE PLAYLIST) is facing a teenager's nightmare: her widowed father has moved them from the city to a tiny town in the middle of nowhere where the major tourist attraction is an industrial fire that seems destined to burn forever. Concocting new ways of getting high is a major hobby for most of Caroline's classmates, including the lovelorn Thurston (Reece Thompson of DREAMCATCHER, THE SANDLOT 2), who falls for Caroline the minute he lays eyes on her. Almost immediately, Caroline finds herself entangled in a love triangle between Thurston and her high-school teacher (Josh Lucas of SWEET HOME ALABAMA, A BEAUTIFUL MIND).
