Dead Birds is a 2004 horror film directed by Alex Turner. During the Civil War, a group of rogue Confederate soldiers and other outlaws seek shelter in a house that appears to be abandoned. William (Henry Thomas), Sam (Patrick Fugit), Clyde (Michael Shannon) and Annabelle (Nicki Aycox) have a dark secret: they have just robbed a bank. Tensions run high as the members of the group squabble, waiting to see if anyone will apprehend them in their hideout. As a thunderstorm starts to rage outside, the ominous atmosphere inside the abandoned house deepens and settles. The outlaws start to experience strange phenomena, from hearing unearthly voices to seeing visions of bizarre ghouls. Instead of joining forces to figure out the mystery or running from the ominous house, the group of outlaws decides to stay put. With everybody on edge, it is not long before William, Clyde and the rest start turning on each other.
