Rating:

Dead Broke is a 1998 crime drama written and directed by Edward Vilga. Polite Persistence is the name of a slightly sketchy debt collection agency. Despite the name, the employees are anything but polite, although they can definitely be persistent. One night, someone becomes a little too persistent, resulting in a dead body. Sam (John Glover) is the world-weary private investigator sent to untangle the mystery behind the murder. When he interviews Harvey (Paul Sorvino), the collection agency's owner, he is unable to get any real clues. It seems that the killer could be any one of the employees, who run the gamut from slightly strange to extremely odd. From ruthless Frankie (Patricia Scanlon), dubbed the "Doberman of Debt," to manic and unstable Steve (Kevin Dewey), Sam has to interrogate all of the Polite Persistence employees and sniff out the possible motivation for a cold-blooded killing. Since each employee has his or her own story to tell, the invesigtation might take a long time.moreless
