  • TRIVIA (4)

    • The attempts of American film-makers to turn the beautiful Italian actress Giovanna Ralli into a Hollywood star had begun two years before this film was made with her appearance in the Blake Edwards comedy What Did You Do In The War, Daddy? and had continued with her star role in the thriller Caper Of The Golden Bulls before she made Deadfall. After all three films had performed indifferently or disastrously at the box-office, Hollywood lost interest, although she later appeared in a western movie called Cannon To Cordoba, opposite George Peppard.

    • The theme song is sung by Shirley Bassey.

    • After this film had proved to be a sizeable flop, Michael Caine claimed that he and director Bryan Forbes had only made it because each owed Twentieth Century Fox one more film under old contracts.

    • Deadfall contains the final film performance of Eric Portman, who died only a few months after its release.
