Dear Brigitte is a 1965 comedy about a headstrong young math whiz and his befuddled poet of a father. Professor Robert Leaf (James Stewart) loves the arts and cannot stand the sciences, so it is just his luck that his son Erasmus (Billy Mumy) is a math prodigy. Although Leaf tries to suppress his son's talents, they soon come pouring out when Erasmus's older sister Pandora (Cindy Carol) not only has him help her through her homework, but also teaches him to handicap horses at the racetrack! Erasmus uses his cut to fund a trip to Paris to meet his idol, Brigitte Bardot. Leaf, originally outraged to learn of his children's scheme, is placated when they help him set up a scholarship trust for the arts. But when Erasmus threatens to cut off the trust's funds if he cannot accept Brigitte's invitation to Paris, Leaf has to pack up and go alone to make sure nothing happens to his boy, completely unaware that a trap is being sprung at home!moreless
