Death Valley Manhunt is an action-packed classic western film directed by John English and released in 1943. "Wild" Bill Elliott is a heroic gunslinger who is hired as the sheriff of a small town in the American west. At first, Elliott is on good terms with most of the citizenry. His love interest, Nicky Hobart (Anne Jeffreys), is young and beautiful; Elliott hopes to make her his wife as soon as he can. Before he gets too comfortable, however, things go sour. Elliott learns that one of the town's wealthiest men is scheming to start a range war that may cost dozens of men their lives and property. With the local judge accepting bribes from corrupt oil investors and turning a blind eye to their illegal and unethical schemes, Sheriff Elliott must do what he can to restore law and order to the town. He's assisted by his friend and sidekick, Gabby Hayes (George Hayes), who is one of the few citizens brave enough to face the corruption head on.moreless
