Deep Shock is a science fiction film directed by Phillip J. Roth for the Syfy Channel that follows a scientific expedition as it searches the North Pole for a mysterious underwater object powerful enough to stop a nuclear submarine in its tracks as well as the sudden increase in temperatures threatening to melt the ice caps. When the USS Jimmy Carter, a nuclear-powered submarine, is randomly attacked and disabled, Captain Andrew Raines, USN (David Keith) sets out with the Hubris crew, an Arctic research complex, including Dr. Anne Fletcher (Simmone Jade Mackinnon), her ex-husband and far more aggressive Dr. Chomsky (Mark Sheppard), and Arciero (Sean Whalen), to find out just what is going on in the North Pole. It seems that the findings are far more startling than they expected as something fierce and deadly is lurking in the icy depths of the Artic Ocean.
