Deepwater is a suspenseful thriller that begins when Nat Banyon (Lucas Black) rescues Finch (Peter Coyote), the owner of a hotel in the town of Deepwater, from a car accident. In appreciation, Finch offers Nat the job of painting his hotel in exchange for a place to stay. As he begins his work, Nat finds himself growing infatuated with Finch's wife, Iris (Mia Maestro), and begins an affair with her. Nat also discovers that Finch is involved with shady loan sharking. When a police officer that disliked Nat turns up dead, Nat decides to leave Deepwater, but Iris convinces him to stay so that he can take part in a "friendly" boxing match with Finch. Iris plans to rob the safe during the match. The boxing match, and the accusation that he killed the police officer lead Nat to feelings of paranoia. Adding to his paranoia are the discoveries he makes concerning the town of Deepwater. How Nat chooses to deal with his discoveries will affect the future of the town.moreless
