Deliver Us from Eva is a 2003 film starring Gabrielle Union as Eva, a beautiful but uptight young woman. She is a overachiever, smart, productive single woman with sisters. Evas sisters have husbands who feel the effects of Evas single life more than anyone and are tired of her interfering with their lives. They even have a nickname for Eva: the sister-in-law from hell. In fact, these in-laws are convinced that if they set her up with playboy Ray (LL Cool J) for $5,000, she will be distracted and will stop interfering. Ray is an uber-suave ladies man who is hired to make women fall in love with him. The in-laws plan seems to be working when they Ray begins dating Eva..until Ray falls madly in love with Eva.
