Deliver Us from Evil is a documentary film that focuses on the true story of a priest who raped and molested children in Northern California between the late 197o's and the 1990's. Oliver O'Grady was a Catholic priest who served in numerous parishes in the state of California during the 70's and 80's. He was a serial child molester who abused children who were entrusted to his care, and admitted to having raped and molested 25 children. Many of his superiors in the church knew about O'Grady and his appalling habit, but instead of turning him in to the authorities or stripping him of his ordination, they simply chose to move him from congregation to congregation. The documentary features interviews by several of O'Grady's victims and the families of his victims. The film contains archival footage of several priests and members of the church, such as Pope Benedict XVI and Father Thomas Doyle.
