Delta Force is one of Chuck Norris' great action films of the 1980s, combining his brand of martial arts with high-octane thrills. When a hostage rescue mission goes wrong following a disastrous helicopter crash, Major Scott McCoy (Chuck Norris) ignores the order to evacuate and rescues his friend and fellow soldier Pete Peterson (William Wallace) from the helicopter wreckage. Disillusioned by the failed mission, McCoy leaves his assignment with the group. Several years later, when a flight from Cairo, Egypt is hijacked by the New World Revolutionary Order, McCoy must rejoin the Delta Force to take them down and save the hostages. Led by Colonel Nick Alexander (Lee Marvin), the Delta Force team has its hands full against the terrorist organization, headed by Abdul Rifi (Robert Forster). It will take every ounce of skill in the Delta Force to save the hostages, but if anyone can manage it, McCoy can. A cult classic filled with explosive action and tense thrills, Delta Force will satisfy anyone looking for a raging good time.moreless

The movie is not Oscar caliber by any means. The acting is spare and without much passion.. Sure the movie is worth one or two stars at best. But it's a hell of a ride nonetheless.

The script plays like ''The Dirty Dozen'' saving the passenger list of ''Airport `77.''
