Desert Patrol is a 1938 black-and-white movie about a brutal murder and its investigation. A fellow ranger of Dave Austin (Bob Steele) is murdered, leaving Austin to go undercover and investigate it. He disguises himself as an outlaw as a way to enter into the sphere of bad guys. It turns out that Austin recognizes the killer, Apache Joe (Ted Adams), but also a huge money-laundering scheme in the process. Austin finds Dan Drury (Rex Lease), a middleman who transfers money between his boss and Apache Joe. Going further undercover, Austin gets a job to work on the Drury Ranch, but his cover might be blown when Dan's sister Jean Drury (Marion Weldon) discovers his true identity, revealing it to her brother. Will Austin be able to put his partner's murderer and the money crooks? Sam Newfield directs this adventure western full of action, fighting scenes, romance, and revenge for fallen friends.
