Detention is a 2003 dramatic thriller about Sam Decker (Dolph Lundgren), a seemingly unassuming high school teacher who has to unexpectedly draw on his inner warrior. Decker's workplace, Hamilton High, is filled with disaffected and rebellious students, leading Decker to finally decide to quit. On his last day, he finds himself supervising the students who are in detention. As he counts down the hours to his freedom, something happens that changes Decker's plans. Chester Lamb (Alex Karzis), a ruthless criminal mastermind, has chosen Hamilton High as the base for one of his heists. He does not expect anybody to still be at school, but once he spots Decker and the detention students, Lamb orders his henchmen to kill every last one of them. Fortunately for the terrified high schoolers, Decker was not always a history teacher. He used to be a Marine, and his military training comes in handy as he fights to keep the students alive.
