Devil in a Blue Dress is a neo-noir film based on the book with the same title by Walter Mosley. Although the film was made in 1995, Devil in a Blue Dress takes place in 1948. The movie stars Denzel Washington, Don Cheadle, Tom Sizemore, andTerry Kinney. One day, World War II veteran Ezekiel "Easy" Rawlins is approached by a man named De Witt Albright (Tom Sizemore) with a proposition to help him find a missing woman. Jobless, strapped for cash and burdened with a hefty mortgage, Easy willingly accepts Albright's offer. However, Easy is by no means a detective, and soon realizes he is far from ascertaining the whereabouts of the missing woman. He enlists his friend, a man named Mouse Alexander (Don Cheadle) to help him on his mission, but several obstacles get in the way of reaching a solid conclusion.
