Devour is a 2005 horror film directed by David Winkler. The film follows Jake Gray (played by Jensen Ackles) who has been haunted for months by worrisome premonitions of self mutilation and murder that he can not explain. Then his two friends from high school, Dakota (played by Dominique Swain) and Conrad (played by Teach Grant) introduce Jake to a strange online computer game called The Pathway. The game brings Jake's violent visions to life, making them go from just scary daydreams to a horrific reality and his friends start dying. Trying to escape from these nightmares Jake goes to Marisol (played by Shannyn Sossamon). Marisol is a sexy new friend who is into the occult and mysticism. Now the two of them together are facing horrors even greater than before, and are delving into the shocking secrets of Jake's family's dark past. For a low budget independent horror film this is surprisingly well made and enjoyable.moreless
