1971

James Bond, MI6 agent, who this time must take down a megalomaniacal madman who intends to use a giant laser-firing satellite made from diamonds to hold Planet Earth for ransom. The film begins with Bond in hot pursuit of his old nemesis, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, whose most recent crime is the murder of Bond's wife Tracy di Vicenzo. Bond's pursuit of Blofeld leads him to a mysterious operation that appears to be constructing look-a-likes of people, although the purpose of the cloning factory can't be determined. Bond soon receives his next mission from MI-6: he's to go undercover as a diamond smuggler and expose a criminal syndicate that profits from the illegal mining and sale of the rare mineral. As his mission progresses, Bond begins to realize that there is far more involved with this criminal syndicate than meets the eye.
