Die Die My Darling is an over the top psychological horror film about a young girl that has a very unexpected visit with the mother of her former fiance. Well to do and very spoiled Patricia Carroll (Stephanie Powers) has just landed in London, intent on marrying her fianc' Alan Glentower (Maurice Kaufmann). She decides to pay a visit to Mrs. Trefoile (Tallulah Bankhead), the dear mother of Stephen, the man she was formerly engaged to until he died in a car accident. Patricia's time with the woman she has always revered as sweet and loving starts off cordial and nice, and Mrs Trefoile insists she stay over for the night and attend mass the next day. But Patricia soon realizes the overly protective and fanatically religious shut in is slightly deranged, and before she knows it, Mrs. Trefoile locks her in the house, and proceeds to try and cleanse her of her evils. Without any way out, the drastic turn of events could endanger the young bride to be, and it looks like the wedding could very well be postponed. Silvio Narizzano directs this campy film featuring a legendary, overblown performance by an aging Bankhead.moreless
