Dimension is a dramatic film with fairy tale elements. Chance Pullman (Paul Turner) owns a hardware store in a poor Chicago neighborhood. When he loses his family in an accident, God gives Chance the ability to help people. There are two catches: first, the person has to buy a folding ruler from his store on their own, and second, the person can only choose to change three inches of themselves. For instance, a football player purchases a ruler and decides to make himself taller so that he can continue his career. This independent movie, filmed on-location in Chicago, explores the lives not only of Chance but of the people whom he changes. The film is hopeful about Chance, the strangers, and his friends, despite their difficult lives. The unique premise of the film asks questions about what unfortunate people would change if they could, but also warns that extreme changes are not possible, and must be thought through.
