Direct Action is an action film directed by Sidney J. Furie that centers on Sergeant Frank Gannon (Dolph Lundgren), a member of the Direct Action Unit (DAU) task force comprised of many highly trained officers, whose life is turned upside down, as the DAU's integrity is called into question. With a notable record full of Medals of Valor and milestones, Gannon was the first one called from the unit to testify on the apparent investigation into false imprisonments, stolen drugs and money, and the possible murder ordered by Captain Stone (Conrad Dunn). Scared for the trial, Stone with the help of drug lord Khalid Manseur (Richard Collier) sends out the troops to take down Gannon and when that does not work, he resorts to framing him for the crimes. It is up to Gannon and his new trainee Billie Ross (Polly Shannon) to prove his innocence and to take down the true criminals once and for all.
