Dirty Dancing is the beloved 1987 romance drama which has given audiences 'the time of their life' with every subsequent viewing. The classic tale of bad boy and hometown wholesome girl who fall in love, the film stars Patrick Swayze (Ghost, Donnie Darko, Black Dog, Point Break) as Johnny Castle, sweaty-mulleted dancing teacher who works at a luxurious resort and does shows who's female dance partner bails on him when she has to have an abortion, leaving him stuck between a rock and a hard place. Enter aforesaid wholesome girl next door who is visiting for the summer with her family, Frances ' aka Baby ' (Jennifer Grey, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Bounce, Red Dawn), who takes her destined place as Johnny's new dance partner. And from there, the sweaty sparks fly as Johnny dazzles her with the moves and wisdom he imparts, and does his best to ensure that nobody puts Baby in a corner.
