Disco: Spinning the Story is a documentary film about Disco music. Hosted by singer Gloria Gaynor, this film features many aspects of Disco, including its roots, the clothing of the era, dance moves and famous Disco musical artists. Popular songs from this era are played in the background of the film. Also featured are both old and new interviews from musical artists including Kurtis Blow, George Clinton, Earl Young, The Village People, Nile Rodgers and Marty Angelo. This film also features clips of performances from popular musicians from The Disco Age including KC & The Sunshine Band, Barry White, Donna Summer, The Bee Gees and Rose Royce. An inside look into some of the most popular clubs of this era, including Studio 54, are included in this film. Perhaps one of the best parts of this film is when Gloria Gaynor gives live performances of her hit singles "Never Can Say Goodbye" and "I Will Survive." Between the upbeat performances and in-depth interviews, Disco: Spinning the Story makes you feel like you lived in this time period, even if you didn't.moreless
