District B13, also released as District 13 and the French release Banlieue 13, is an action film directed by Pierre Morel, featuring parkour pioneer David Belle as Leito, a one-man war against the street gangs of the poor suburb of Paris, referred to as B13. When B13 becomes out of control, the authorities construct a high wall around the area, stopping people from leaving or entering. Three years later street gangs have developed and Leito is in charge of one block, but goes after drug dealer Taha and sabotages his stash of cocaine, leading Taha to send his thugs, led by K2 (Tony D'Amario) after Leito. Six months later police captain Damien Tomaso (Cyril Raffaelli) learns that Taha has stolen an experimental neutron bomb that is set to blow in 24 hours. Damien must convince Leito to take him to Taha's base to disarm the bomb before it is too late. This exciting action flick lead to a 2009 sequel called District 13: Ultimatum.moreless
