Directed by Frank Perry, Doc is a 1971 American film starring Stacy Keach, Faye Dunaway, Harri Yulin, and Michael Whitney. The film tells the story of Wyatt Earp & Doc Holliday and the epic fight at the O.K. Corral. When Doc Holliday (Keach) and Kate Elder (Dunaway) wait at the Continental Hotel in hopes of finding Wyatt Earp (Yulin), they meet Virgil and Morgan Earp, two of Wyatt's brothers. They follow them to Tombstone where they encounter Wyatt, who is now the town's sheriff. Wyatt must contend with resistance from the "Cowboys" in town, a group of townies that don't believe Wyatt should be sheriff. Doc and Kate stay in Tombstone and Doc ends up showing The Kid (Denver John Collins) how to shoot a pistol. The climax of the film takes place at the O.K. Corral, when a showdown leaves many men dead. Doc is a detailed oriented retelling that gives the audience a surprisingly accurate view of living in the West.moreless
