Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story UNRATED brings together Ben Stiller and Vince Vaugn in a match made in comedy heaven. Laid-back Peter LaFleur (Vince Vaugn) has let his Average Joe's Gymnasium get behind in payments to the tune of $50,000. Across the street, White Goodman (Ben Stiller) sees the opportunity to build a parking lot for his Globo Gym on Peter's property. Goodman sends his attorney Kate Veatch (Christine Taylor) to negotiate a deal. Determined to keep his business, Peter and his sad sack buddies enter a dodgeball tournament that could net them enough to keep the gym. Of course, the competitive Goodman retaliates by gathering up an all-star team of his finest gym rats. Luckily, legendary Dodgeball champion Patches O'Houlihan (Rip Torn) has something to prove, and he takes up the challenge of coaching the underdog team. Director Rawson Marshall Thurber takes the broad, slapstick approach to this 2004 comedy, which perfectly suits the goofball cast of crazies.moreless
