Dog's Life is a 2006 tragic comedy in which two misfits find their way into each other's life plans. A mentally unbalanced young man, Charlie (Christopher Kadish), and a custodian who has nothing going for him, Vig (Morgan Sabia), end up sharing a basement. As they speculate about what they might do with their lives to get ahead, they suddenly hatch some big and unexpected dreams. It looks like the two schemers might actually find their way to financial stability and upward mobility. However, the best laid plans often go astray. Charlie tries to steal the most dear possession of a porter and jeopardizes everything they had hoped for. An eclectic group of friends surround them in their pursuits, but the exhausting world of urban Brooklyn keeps pulling them back to status quo. A bartender named Louie (Larry Fleischman) and an addict named Rhonda (Fiona Gallagher) serve as the ironic sources of wisdom for the heroes. John Knapich directs this soulful indie film about hope and dashed dreams.moreless
