Domestic Bliss is a tapestry of strange characters and music. As a musical, it weaves together a bizarre tale of a used and abused lounge singer who specializes in singing sentimental love songs. Miss Leanne du Fontaine (Walter Prince) is played by a man, which begins the wackiness that is prevalent throughout this outrageous film. Leanne decides to step out of the spotlight and return to the town of her youth in the suburbs of Boston. She is looking for a life where she will be truly appreciated and not just another slowly dimming star on the streets of the big city. Her pursuit of a better life leads her back into the arms of her childhood sweetheart. The macabre soundtrack to this film is a mixture of sounds that do not usually go together, like polka, house beats and unbelievable falsetto choruses which adds to the overall uniqueness of this movie.
